"IMPORTANT": The connection of each PPE
on the lifeline cable must be achieved using the
slider (O) manufactured by Tractel
on request.
"IMPORTANT": The travflex™ 2 lifeline comes
without bolts, fasteners or interface plates for securing
it onto the host structure. The technical specifications
of the means of securing the lifeline to the host
structure depend on the nature and specifications of
this structure, these means must be defined by the
essential prior technical study, including the analysis
the host structure, the determination of its strength, and
the corresponding calculation notes.
The chosen means of securing (pins, bolts, interface
plates) must be implemented in accordance with the
instruction manuals supplied by the manufacturers of
these attachment means and in particular following
the installation according to Tractel
installation notices.
The travflex™ 2 lifeline system is formed by 2 lifelines:
• travflex™ 2 S: formed by a stainless steel belay
support and parts made of copper-aluminium alloy
and stainless steel.
• travflex™ 2 G: formed by a galvanised steel belay
support and parts made of copper-aluminium alloy
and galvanised steel.
4.2. Description of end anchor
components (page 3, ind. A)
The end anchor is designed to be attached to the host
structure by a screw or M16 bolt (specifications set by
the prior study) through the D17 mm hole shown in the
figure below. This anchor consists of two parts:
1) Fall indicator
This part is specially designed to break along the
section (S) during the fall of at least one operator,
whether in use according to EN 795:2012 type C (fall
on lifeline) or EN 795:2012 type A (fall on end anchor).
Material: Stainless Steel
Net Weight: 50 g
2) Anchor
This part is specially designed to unfold after the fall
indicator breaks along the section (S) during the fall
of at least one person. This unfolding minimizes the
breakaway torque on the host structure and absorbs
some of the energy of the falling operator(s).
Materials:
• For use in moderately corrosive environment:
SAS provided
®
• For use in a salted environment: Stainless steel.
Resistance: 30 kN
Net weight: 830 g
Each end anchor comes with a quick link connector (J).
