15.2. Anchor points on end and bend

In use of the fall protection anchor points on the bend or
end plate, the clearance space is calculated using the
following formula:
T = F + F1
With:
F : Anchor point clearance space 0.2 m.
F1 : Fall arrestor clearance space.

16. Periodic inspection and repair

An annual periodic inspection is mandatory, but
depending on the frequency of use, environmental
conditions and regulations of the company or country of
use, periodic inspection may be more frequent.
Periodic inspection must be carried out by an authorised
and competent technician and in compliance with the
manufacturer's examination procedures transcribed in
the "Control sheet" file.
Checking the legibility of the marking on the product is
an integral part of the periodic inspection.
Following the periodic inspection, the return to service
must be notified in writing by the authorised and
competent technician who carried out the periodic
inspection. This return to service of the product must
be recorded on the control sheet in the middle of this
manual. This control sheet must be kept for the entire
life of the product, until it is refurbished.
After stopping a fall, this product must be subject to
a periodic inspection as described in this article. The
possible textile components of the product must be
changed, even if they do not show any visible alteration.

17. Lifespan

used if they are used from the date of manufacture:
• In normal use in accordance with the recommendations
for use in this manual.
• a periodic inspection which must be carried out at
least once a year by an authorised and competent
technician. At the end of this periodic inspection, the
product must be declared in writing fit for service.
• the strict observance of the storage and transport
conditions mentioned in the present notice
As a general rule, subject to the conditions for use
stated above, their service life may exceed 10 years.

18. Marking

The set of markings on the travflex™ 2 lifeline are listed
in the table below for each sub-assembly.
