Problem
SIDNE® does not
announce that voice is
enabled after the voice
upgrade cartridge is
inserted
No video output when
the SIDNE voice upgrade
cartridge is inserted into
SIDNE
Poor video quality

Solution
• Ensure the cartridge is completely inserted
into the back of the SIDNE console.
• Ensure the SIDNE voice upgrade software has
been installed on SIDNE.
• Remove the cartridge, reboot SIDNE, and
attempt to re-insert the cartridge.
• Check the SIDNE console video input and
output connection(s).
• Check that the input selector on the video
monitor is set properly.
• Check the video selection on SIDNE to ensure
it is set to the intended input. For voice menus,
select SIDNE/options/video/source and
choose the source the camera is connected
to. For tablet menus, select options and then
select one of the options listed under video
source.
• Check that the input source (e.g. medical video
camera) is powered on and is producing an
image.
• Check that the camera cable length switch
(camera rear panel) is set properly. It should
match the actual camera cable length (3.05 or
6.05 meters).
• Check other devices in the video loop.
• Disconnect and reconnect all video cables.
• Check all video cables and connections.
• Ensure that there are no loose (unterminated)
video cable ends.
• Check the settings on other devices in the
video loop.
• Reboot camera
• Reboot SIDNE
