9.2. Normal operation
The automatic gun does not have an internal control. To start the spraying
process the flat and round fan air must be connected first and then the
material supply must be opened. The paint needle is then opened via the
control pulse and the spraying process is started. The end of the control
pulse closes the paint needle again and stops the spraying process. Ma-
terial no longer flows. The flat and round fan air must then be connected.
Before using the automatic gun, heed/check the following points to war-
rant safe working with the gun:
■ Automatic gun is safely fitted.
■ Compressed air flow rate and pressure is ensured.
■ Clean compressed air is being used.
Adjust spray gun inlet pressure
Notice!
If the gun input pressure does not reach the necessary level, increase
the pressure in the compressed air circuit.
■ Adjust the spraying air to the necessary input pressure.
Adjust the material flow
Using the material flow control for dosing can cause wear in the nozzles.
→ In normal operation, open the material flow control to the full extent. →
Use the material feed pressure to adjust the material flow.
→ Only use the material flow control to adjust the material flow for very
small material flow rates. (for variant with material flow control).
Notice!
The grub screw
used for fixing the unit. (for variant with material flow control).
■ Adjust the material flow with the material feed pressure.
■ For small material flow rates, fine adjustment of the material flow can be
achieved by regulating the material flow control [1-6]. (for variant with material
flow control).
