This note contains the necessary information for a correct use of the following
product/s:

1) FIELD OF APPLICATION.
EN 1497:2007 - Rescue harnesses; EN 1498:2006-B - Rescue loops. This is
a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), intended to be included in a evacuation

(EU) 2016/425. Attention! For this product the indications of the standard EN
365 must be respected (general instructions / paragraph 2.5). Attention! For
this product a periodic thorough inspection is compulsory (general instructions /
paragraph 8). Attention! The user (rescuer or the person rescued) must read and
understand the information provided by the manufacturer before using the device.
2) NOTIFIED BODIES. Refer to the legend in the general instructions (paragraph

(paragraph 5).
4.1 - General (Fig. 3). Indications:1; 2; 4; 6; 7; 8; 11; 12; 15; 17; 18; 30)
Pictogram showing how to close and fix the adjustment buckles.

5) USAGE MODES. Easy and quick to put on, the Rescue Triangle has two usage
modes according to body size: Kids mode or Adults mode: • Kids mode: connect
the three loops/attachment points marked with the letter B (Fig. 2) to an EN 362
connector as shown in fig. 5; • Adults mode: connect the three attachment points
marked with the letter C (Fig. 2) to an EN 362 connector as shown in fig. 7.
Attention! Do not join an attachment point/loop type B to a type C or viceversa.
6) PUTTING ON THE RESCUE TRIANGLE. Choose the use mode, adults or kids,
based on chest circumference (Fig. 1). The person to be rescued should put on the
Rescue Triangle, putting their arms through the two shoulder straps. If necessary,
adjust the shoulder straps with the adjustment buckle (Fig. 4). Take hold of the
lower attachment point (B or C) and bring it up between the legs to chest height on
the person to be evacuated. Insert an EN 362 connector through the left attach-
ment point, then in the lower one (B or C) and finally through the triangle's right
attachment point (B o C). Check that the three attachment points are inserted in
the correct order into the connector. Attention! Make sure that all three attachment
points are inserted into the connector (Fig. 5-7).
7) INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
Before starting salvage/rescue operations, the risk factors must be evaluated (en-
vironmental, concomitant, consequential).
7.1 - EN 1497:2007. The rescue harness is designed to be worn during normal
work activities. The user should try hanging in it in a safe place before using it for
the first time, to make sure that the size is correct, that it can be adjusted correctly
and that the level of comfort is acceptable for the intended use.
7.2 - EN 1498: 2006-B. 1) The rescue belt is only for rescue. 2) The rescuer must
make sure that the person rescued is not endangered by the movement of the
device's straps or by contact with the attachment points, for example a connector
which hits the person rescued on the head during an unintentional incident, for
instance a short fall.
7.3 - Additional warnings. 1) Inert suspension in the harness can cause serious
physiological injuries and, in extreme cases, fatality. 2) Pay attention to the effects
of humidity and ice, extreme temperatures, sharp edges, chemical reagents, elec-
trical conductivity, cuts, abrasions, UV rays etc., because they may prejudice the
safety of the device. 3) Only use anchor points which can withstand at least 12
kN, with no sharp edges and which are vertically above the person to be rescued
at a height not below that of the belt.
8) SYMBOLS. Refer to the legend in the general instructions (paragraph 15): F1.
