REMINDERS FOR USE
• The appliance is designed for cooking and preparing food in
water.
• Do not light the pilot burner or leave it on when there is no
water in the well.
• Do not activate the heating system when there is no water in
the well or in the jacket.
• While the appliance is on, the water level must be maintained
level with or above the minimum level indicated on the wall
of the well.
• Use very fine grained salt, adding it to the well when the wa-

See " FILLING THE JACKET ".
The appliance is equipped with an automatic reset pressure
switch which interrupts heating when steam pressure in the
jacket exceeds optimum levels. Heating restarts when steam
pressure returns to an acceptable level. The intervention of the
pressure switch ensures reduced consumption of water in the
jacket and reduced appliance energy consumption overall.
• At the end of each day, clean the well thoroughly in order to
prevent the formation of corrosive deposits.
The appliance is fitted with a safety thermostat which stops
activation of heating in the event the water in the jacket falls
below the safety level. The red indicator light on the control
panel switches on. Heating will restart after the water level in
the jacket has been restored. See " FILLING THE JACKET ".
