1.5 Concluding work and activation of the reversing camera
 Fit all vehicle parts in reverse order.

It must be ensured that the current version of ODIS Service is fitted on the vehicle diagnostics tester for the vehicle

test and that the open-circuit voltage of the vehicle battery is at least 12.5 Volts. To maintain the on-board voltage
during the procedure, connect a -VAS590X- battery charger.
The action code can only be entered once. Unprompted multiple call-ups generate error messages and have no

effect on the configuration.
 When the ignition is switched off, connect the vehicle diagnostics tester with ODIS service to the vehicle
diagnostics socket.
 Switch on the ignition.
 Start the vehicle diagnostics tester and select "Diagnosis" operating mode. Then identify the vehicle.
 After polling the control units, choose the following menu items:

Adjusting the software

-3- for "Carry out refitting/retrofitting"

 Enter 5-digit action code and "accept":

Golf Sportsvan 386C1

After the code is entered the online connection is created and the software update carried out.

End diagnostics.
All entries in the event memory will be deleted.
 Disconnect the connection to the vehicle diagnostics tester.
 Carry out a function check of the reversing camera.
