PRESSURE CHECK

INCOMING PRESSURE CHECK (Pe) Fig. 1
The pressure is measured with a pressure gauge 0 ÷ 80 mbars (precision at least 0.1 mbars).
The pressure test point Fig. 1 is on the G 1/2" gas ramp behind the instrument panel; undo the screw (A) of the pressure test
point (B), attach the silicone rubber hose to the pressure gauge, ignite the burner and note the incoming "dynamic" pressure.
Fasten the screw (A) back on with a gas washer (C), check there is no leakage with the soap solution method.
CHECKING THE +GENERAL+ THERMAL CAPACITY
Any transformation for another type of gas (see Sect. 4) must be performed by an authorized fitter or assistant. The thermal
capacity to check may be:
- the nominal thermal capacity given on the data plate
- the maximum thermal capacity in the maximum position
- the minimum thermal capacity in the minimum position.
First of all, check whether the unit is already fitted for the mains gas and pressure; in case of transformation for working with other
kinds of gas, carefully check the markings on the nozzles, the minimum screw and by-pass with Tables II Injectors
2.5.4

ADJUSTING THE MINIMUM THERMAL CAPACITY

The right minimum thermal capacity is obtained with the "calibrated" by-pass minimum screw firmly tightened in accordance
with Table II Injectors. Ignite the burner as described in Sect. 6 "User Instructions" on the maximum position ( ), after
approximately 5 minutes of pre-heating, turn the knob onto the minimum position ( ).
For the 2nd and 3rd Families, the by-pass idle screw should be fully screwed into the cock (Fig. 2 pos. 2).
2.5.5

LIQUID GAS OPERATION CHECK

Check whether the fitted nozzles correspond to the information of Tables II Injectors.
Check whether the incoming pressure corresponds to the information of Table II.
Make sure that the L.P.G. system has two pressure regulators of sufficient capacity and that the evaporation capacity of the
system is sufficient. See also the publication entitled "Installation Instructions and Specifications of LPG systems."
2.5.6

CHECKING OPERATION

- Start the unit according to the user instructions.
- Make sure there are no gas leaks following the local procedures.
- Check the ignition and inter-ignition of the pilot burner and main burner.
- Make sure the flue gases are discharged properly.
- Write on a sticker, to stick onto the unit data plate, the gas and pressure for which the unit has been calibrated.
2.5.7

USER'S INTRODUCTION

Explain the operation and use of the unit to the user by referring to the instructions booklet and illustrate any changes.
Leave the instructions booklet with the user and explain he needs it for further reference.
2.6

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

The electrical connection must be made in compliance with CEI standards, only by authorized and skilled personnel.
Firstly, check the data given in the technical data table of this manual, on the data plate and in the wiring diagram.
The envisaged connection is of the fixed type.
IMPORTANT:
A multi-polar mains cut-off device must be provided upstream from each unit, with a contact gap of at least 3 mm., for
example:
- a manual switch of suitable capacity, equipped with fuses
- circuit breaker with relevant miniature circuit breakers.
2.6.1

EARTHING

It is vital to earth the oven. Connect the terminals marked by the symbols ( ) positioned on the line-in terminal block to an
efficient grounding complying with the regulations in force.
The manufacturer cannot be deemed responsible for any damage caused by failure to earth the system.
CAUTION: NEVER CUT THE EARTH WIRE (yellow-green).
