TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
There is excessive
wobbling.
The fan operates
correctly, but the
lights are not
working.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. The blades and/or blade are
loose.
2. The blades are unbalanced.
3. The fan mounting is not secure.
4. The fan is too close to the vaulted
ceiling.
5. The set screw(s) on the motor
housing yoke is (are) not
tightened properly.
6. The set screw on the hanging
ball are not tightened properly.
1. The bulbs are not installed
correctly.
2. The wires in the canopy are not
wired properly.
3. The wall switch to the fan is off.
4. The male and female plugs are
not connected properly.
5. The the bulbs in the light kit are at
more than the allowable 190 W,
causing the wattage limiting device
to interrupt the flow of electricity to
the light kit.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Check and tighten all screws
that hold the fan blades to the
blade arms and the blade arms
to the motor.
2. Switch one blade with a
blade from the opposite side.
Or balance the fan using a
balancing kit (not supplied).
3. Turn off the power. Loosen
the canopy and verify that the
mounting bracket is secure to
the electrical outlet box. The
bracket must be flush without
movement against the outlet
box.
4. Use a longer downrod or move
the fan to another location.
5. Tighten the yoke set screw(s)
securely.
6. Carefully loosen and lower the
canopy and verify that the set
screw on the hanging ball is
tightened securely.
1. Re-install the bulbs.
2. Check the wires in the canopy
and, if necessary, re-wire
according to the instructions in
this manual.
3. Make sure that the wall switch to
the fan is on.
4. Check that the male and female
plugs are connected properly
according to instructions in this
manual.
5. Ensure the bulbs in the lamp
light kit do not exceed 190 W.
