    SAFETY INFORMATION Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate, or install the product. • Before you begin installing the fan, disconnect the power by removing fuses or turning off the circuit breakers. • Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National Electrical Code, and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring.

    SAFETY INFORMATION CAUTION: Read all instructions and safety information before installing your new fan. Review the accompanying assembly diagrams. CAUTION: Be sure the outlet box is properly grounded or that a ground (green or bare) wire is present. CAUTION: Carefully check all screws, bolts, and nuts on the fan motor assembly to ensure that they are secured.

    INITIAL INSTALLATION 1. Turn off the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the fan supply line leads. DANGER: Failure to disconnect the power supply prior to installation may result in serious injury or death. 2. Ensure that the blades (K) will be at least 30 in. from any obstructions.

    STANDARD OR ANGLE MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Remove the downrod pin (MM) and downrod clip (LL) from the downrod (A). Then partially loosen the motor-housing set screws (NN) in the yoke at the top of the motor assembly (G). Help Hint: Downrod style mounting is best suited for ceilings 8 ft.

Then re-tighten the motor housing set screws (NN) and slide the yoke cover (B) down until it rests on top of the motor assembly (G).

Twist the stripped ends of each strand of wire within the insulation with pliers. Repeat this step for black, blue (if applicable) and green wires.

    CLOSEMOUNT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Remove the canopy cover (P) from the bottom of the canopy (C). Helpful Hint: Closemount-style mounting is more suitable for ceilings lower than 8 ft. (2.44 m) high. The downrod, hanging ball, and canopy cover are not used in this type of installation.

    WIRING WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, wire connectors provided with this fan are designed to accept only one 12-gauge house wire and two lead wires from the fan. If your house wire is larger than 12 gauges and there is more than one house wire to connect to the two fan lead wires, consult an electrician for the proper size wire connectors to use.

    FINAL INSTALLATION 1. Remove the two mounting bracket screws (FF) from the mounting bracket (E) and loosen the other two screws about 1/4 in. Then align the canopy (C) up to the ceiling over the loose mounting bracket screws (FF). Place the keyholes of the canopy (C) into the screws (FF) and rotate clockwise.

    LIGHT KIT INSTALLATION Note: If you wish to install the fan without the light kit, see Install the Fan Without The Light Kit on page 1. Remove the three plate screws (KK) located on the fitter plate (Q). Then connect the plug from the motor (G) to the plug from the switch housing (O), matching the colors on each plug.

    INSTALL THE FAN WITHOUT THE LIGHT KIT 1. To install the fan without the light kit, remove the three plate screws (KK) from the fitter plate (Q) and remove the light kit (H). Carefully place unused wires back into the switch housing (O) and use the plastic plug button (F) to plug the hole.     OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. The pull chain located on the switch housing (O) has four positions to control fan speed. One pull is HIGH, two is MEDIUM, three is LOW and four turns the fan OFF. 2. The pull chain located in the center is used to turn the light ON or OFF.

A ceiling fan will allow you to raise your thermostat setting in the summer and lower your thermostat setting in the winter without feeling a difference in your comfort.

    CARE AND MAINTENANCE At least twice each year, lower the canopy to check the downrod assembly, and then tighten all screws on the fan. Clean the motor housing with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Clean the blades with a lint-free cloth. You may occasionally apply a light coat of furniture polish to wood blades for added protection. Bulb Replacement: Use 60-watt max.
