5 CE-Konformität
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der Richtlinie 93 / 42 / EWG für Medizinprodukte. Auf-
grund der Klassifizierungskriterien für Medizinprodukte nach Anhang IX der Richtlinie wurde das
Produkt in die Klasse I eingestuft. Die Konformitätserklärung wurde deshalb von Ottobock in al-
leiniger Verantwortung gemäß Anhang VII der Richtlinie erstellt.

1 Description
1.1 Application
The Ankle Joints are to be used exclusively for the fitting with ankle foot orthoses (AFOs) made
of thermoplastic material and must be used in pairs.

1.2 Indication
Paralysis or partial paralysis of the lower leg muscles, for guidance of the ankle joints. Specific
indications must be determined by the physician.
1.3 Safety Instructions
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to excessive load on the ankle joint. A deviation from specified values may
lead to breaks caused by excessive flexion loads. This can cause the patient to fall. Observe
the alignment instructions and adhere to the specified structural limits.
