6. Maintenance

CAUTION: Maintenance and repair of the accumulator may only be carried out by trained specialist.
6.1. Service
Freudenberg bladder accumulators are almost maintenance-free after commissioning. To avoid malfunctions
and to ensure a long service life, the following service checks must be carried out at regular intervals:
Pre-charge pressure check and refilling if necessary
Visual inspection for outer corrosion
Check line connection and fittings for possible leaks
Check safety device for condition and proper function
Freudenberg recommends the following inspection intervals:
Initial inspection after (re-)commissioning
Second inspection after initial one without objections
Regular inspections if no abnormal leakages were found
Suitable maintenance and safety measures must be taken at the hydraulic system to ensure that the operating
conditions for the bladder accumulator remain as constant as possible and that the permissible operating
parameters are maintained throughout its entire service life.
In particular, the exceeding of the following limit values is by all means to be avoided:
Max. allowable working pressureBetriebsdruck
Max. allowable pressure range
Max. allowable pressure ratio
Max./min. working temperature
Significantly deviating surface temperatures
Changes in operating conditions can increase wear. Exceeding the permissible limit values jeopardizes the
permanently safe operation of the bladder accumulator. Root causes for this are to be determined and remedied
immediately.
Regardless of the requirements of this document, recurring inspections must be carried out in
accordance with nationally applicable regulations.
After one week of operation
After 2 - 3 month of operation
Annually
