The metal fixation plate at the broad end of the elec-
trode arm(s) is to be connected to the back of the
Curapuls by means of the supplied hollow-head screw
wrench. You can connect the arm with the knobs
either towards the outside, or towards the unit.
The fixation knobs can be adjusted by hand. We
advise you to adjust so tight that the arm can still be
adjusted, without having to untighten the knobs.
In the top and bottom of the broad side of the elec-
trode arm are holes in which you can click the (sup-
plied) cable guides. If desired, you can also apply
the blind plugs.
Should the purple-ish shell be removed from the small
end of the arm, replace it and fix it by means of the
fixation knob at the small end of the arm, before
mounting a Circuplode. You cannot mount a
Circuplode, when the purple-ish shell is not in its
place.

ELECTRODE ARMS
(See fold out page at front)
1 Illuminated LCD display
2 Start/Stop key
With this key you start/stop the treatment.
3 Enter key
Herewith you confirm the choice you made.
4 Replacement keys ("arrow keys")
With these keys you can move the selection bar
in the display to the option desired.
5 Central control
With this regulator you can change the param-
eters in the display.
6 On/off switch
7 Ventilation openings
The ventilation openings in the housing provide
adequate air circulation for dissipating heat
generated by the electronics. It is important to
ensure that these openings are never covered.
8 Connection for Circuplodes
The electrode is connected to this connection
via the HF cable. The length and impedance of
this cable are of critical importance. For this
reason, only use the cable supplied by Enraf-
Nonius.
Connection of any cable other than the
one supplied for the purpose by Enraf-
Nonius can adversely affect the safety
of the patient and the correct
functioning of the equipment, and is therefore not
permitted.
9 Attachment points for the electrode arms (4x)
10 Mains input with fuses
The mains cable supplied is connected to this
socket, which is fitted with two mains fuses. For
replacement of defective fuses, see chapter "Fault
conditions".
11 Connection for potential equalization cable
This connection is used in areas where local
regulations require connection of a potential
equalization cable. A special cable can be
supplied for this purpose. Please refer to
our catalogue.
12 Type number plate
This plate provides all information for identifying
the equipment, such as type, version and serial
numbers (for service, guarantee etc.) together
with connection data such as mains voltage and
current consumption.
