Setup
The extraction unit is a standing device Do not operate it on its side
Place the extraction unit so that:
• The exhaust air outlet (11, Fig 1) is not blocked
• The front is easily accessible for removing the dust drawer
If the extraction unit is placed in a closed cabinet, the warm exhaust air must be transported out
of the cabinet using one of the measures shown in figures A, B, or C at the start of this document.
• External air duct (A) (see Chap 46)
• Opening in the rear panel of the cabinet (B), min 250 x 120 mm, directly opposite the exhaust air outlet
(11, Fig 1)
- Distance from the rear of the cabinet to the wall:
- Distance from the extraction unit to the rear of the cabinet: max 25 mm
• Remove the rear panel of the cabinet (C), distance from the rear of the cabinet to the wall min 50 mm
If the warm exhaust air is transported out of the cabinet to the rear through openings, it must be ensured
that the warm exhaust air can escape from there unhindered

Electrical connection
Prior to electrical connection, check that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the local
voltage supply.
Select the layout of live parts (sockets, plugs and coupling) and routing of extension cables in
such a way that the protection class is maintained.
⇒ Switch the unit off at the on / off switch (3, Fig. 1).
⇒ Unroll the power cord (9, Fig 1) and insert the power plug into a building electrical socket

Connection to the suction point
Caution: Risk of injury!
When shortening the suction hose, make sure to cut the
integrated wire as straight as possible.
Long suction hoses, tight bends and kinks greatly reduce
the suction power at the suction point.
⇒ Shorten the suction hose if necessary
⇒ Open the Velcro® strip (7)
⇒ Insert the suction hose end bushing (12) into the suction
port (6)
⇒ Secure the suction hose with the Velcro® strip (7)
⇒ Connect the suction hose to the suction point of the CAM
system In doing so, observe the instructions for use of the
CAM system
If the diameter is not suitable, use an adapter (see Acces-
sories) to avoid loss of suction.
Avoid steep inclines and "sagging" along the hose.
