15. TYPES OF INSTALLATION
15.1.
SUBMERSED INSTALLATION WITH AUTOMATIC CONNECTION
ASSEMBLY
Fix the anchoring bracket in an easily accessible position, firmly secured to the
upper part of the tank wall, or to the edge of the trap opening.
Position the automatic coupling base at the bottom of the tank so that the two
GB
tapered projections (housings of the two guide pipes) in the upper part of the
base itself are perfectly plumb in relation to the anchoring bracket projections.
(See size and measurements in the "OVERALL DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS"
paragraph of this manual).
Mark the position of the four slots at the feet of the base and cut the guide pipes
to suit.
Firmly fix the base to the floor slab using 20 mm diameter anchoring shanks at
least 200 mm long.
Fix the delivery pipe to the base opening.
Disconnect the anchoring bracket.
Fit the two guide pipes into the relative projections/recesses in the base and
lock them in place at the top end by remounting the anchoring bracket.
Fit the chain on the handle at the top of the motor. Lift the electric pump, guiding
it above the trap then slowly lowering it, allowing the bracket to slide between
the two guide pipes.
CORRECT SETUP
To ensure the pump can easily slide along the guide pipes and that it correctly
connects/releases from the base during automatic coupling, the chain hook
should always be kept in area "A" during the lowering phase and in area "B"
during the lifting phase, as indicated in the figure to the right.
descent travel, the pump will automatically connect to the base opening. The
upper chain shackle must be fixed to the hole on the anchoring bracket.
15.2.
SUBMERSED INSTALLATION WITH HOSE PIPE
ASSEMBLY AND CORRECT SETUP
To release the rotor, Caprari can supply a specific tool that facilitates this operation when
applied to the side opposite the shaft projection.
The electric pumps must be positioned on or fixed to a flat and consistent floor slab.
Take all the necessary precautions possible from a constructional aspect in order to reduce
the vibrations sustained by the electric pump to the minimum.
The chain used to lower the electric pump into the well must be fastened to the edge of the
manhole.
