• It's advisable to start up the motorhome and run the engine
every 2 to 3 months to keep the battery in good condition.
• Before starting your journey, check the charge of the auxiliary
battery. Even if it's recharged during the trip, the duration may
not be enough to fully recharge it and it's advisable to connect
it to the electrical grid as soon as possible.
• We can check the battery charge level directly from the control
unit, and the value should not be less than 12.5 V.
• A completely discharged battery reaches the value of 12.5 V
only after 12 hours of connection to the electrical grid.
ATTENTION
Leaving the battery discharged for a long period can
irreparably compromise its charging capacity, and
it is worth remembering that the higher the external
temperature, the greater the speed at which the bat-
tery discharges. The same happens in case of very
low ambient temperature.
CAUTION
Any replacement of the auxiliary battery must be of
the same type and specifications as those listed in
this manual. Turn off all accessories and lights before
connecting or disconnecting the auxiliary battery.
CAUTION
• Starting the engine with the service battery
disconnected could cause a short circuit.
• A battery left discharged for over six months is
irreparably damaged, with permanent loss of charge
capacity.
CHARGING THE BATTERIES
• In addition to whilst driving, the service battery can be recharged
in two ways: by connecting the vehicle to the electrical grid or
by using an external charger.
• In the latter case, it is recommended to remove the battery.
• If you want to remove or replace the battery, remember to
disconnect the negative pole first and then the positive pole.
BATTERY CONSERVATION DURING WINTER
• Batteries lose their charge rapidly during winter. If possible,
periodically connect the power cable to the electrical grid to
recharge it.
• When reattaching, proceed in reverse, first with the positive
terminal and then the negative
