2. Safety instructions
2.1 General
R
ead the instructions carefully be-

fore using the mesh base.
E
xamine the mesh base frequently

for signs of wear or damage. If there
are such signs or if the appliance
has been misused, return it to the
supplier prior to any further use.
P
utting the mesh base together

incorrectly may lead to dangerous
situations. (for example if you forget
locking pens and shafts). The
product must therefore be put
together and installed by trained
personnel.
T
he mesh base is only suitable for

normal household use.
I
nexpert maintenance of the mesh
n
base
may
lead
situations. (for example if an electrical
cable is damaged). Maintenance and
service must therefore be carried out
by trained personnel.
I
f the supply cord is damaged, it must

be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
D
o not use the bed as a trampoline
n
or stepladder.
D
o not smoke in bed, and keep
n
burning objects away from the bed.

2.2 Adjustable mesh base

referably use a mesh base base in
combination with an Auping mattress.
T
he mesh base control system and
motors are operated on safe low
voltage current.
O
nly place the bed in a dry room.
Because of the electrical components
it is not permitted to place the bed in
a damp room.
C
heck if the input voltage indicated
on the transformer is the same as
the main voltage in the house.
M
ake sure that the cables cannot
become trapped. Check this by
adjusting the bed after it has been
installed.
A
djustable beds have moving parts.
There is a risk of jamming (for
example, lever arms, hinges). Make
sure that limbs cannot get caught.
R
elease the controls immediately in
case anything becomes trapped in
between the moving parts. The
motors do not stop automatically
and continue to operate.
O
nly adjust the bed while you are
lying on it. Make sure that no one is
under the bed when it is being
adjusted.
P
lease do not sit on the head support
or foot end of the bed whilst raised.
