Additional general parameters
To adjust the performance of the machine there are several additional adjustable parameters from the SET menú.
Additional parameters in 4T mode:
SOLTER
SOLDADURA S.L.
PrG (Pre-gas time): Time during which gas is supplied before welding.
Hot-Start MIG: Additional power at the start of the weld to help create a weld
puddle, allowing a weld free of fusion defects at the start.
PtG (Post-gas time): Determines the time that gas will be supplied after the end
of welding. The possible values are from 0.1 to 5.0 seconds.
PtG (Post-gas time): Determines the time that gas will be supplied after the end
of welding. The possible values are from 0.1 to 5.0 seconds.
Burn-back:
Determines recoil of the wire when welding finishes
PrG (Pre-gas time): Time during which gas is supplied before welding.
SPOT time: Determines the time welding of a spot and will only be enabled if you
have selected a time value. In the OFF position it is disabled. The spot welding
function is supported only in 2T mode.
SPOT repetition time: Pause time before starting a new SPOT weld. With the
selector in OFF position, there is no repetition. Repetition of the welding time will
take place while you are pressing the button on the torch. If the SPOT time is not
enabled, this setting has no effect.
PnT: Activation of penetration control.
Spi: Power level to be executed while torch trigger is pressed for the first
time in 4T mode. Values above 100% helps to prevent lack of fusion at
the beginning of welding bead. This initial power level is especially useful
for aluminum welding, specially when arc welding is started with a cold
working piece.
tri: Transition time between the initial power level and the nominal.
time is expressed in fractions of 0.1 seconds.
SPE: Power level to perform while pressing the button for the second time
in 4T torch mode. It's recommended values below 50%, in order to reduce
power and the final crater filling cord.
tre:
Transition time between the nominal power level and the end. The
time is expressed in fractions of 0.1 seconds.
