Manual
The Manual mode is a MIG/MAG standard operating mode
without a synergic function. In the same way as where a
synergic function is active, the user selects the MIG/MAG
welding program and the operating modes, and then sets the
parameters. However, changing one parameter does not cause
the other parameters to be automatically adjusted to match.
Each of the adjustable parameters must thus be set individually,
as required by the welding process.
In the Manual process, the following parameters are available:
- Wirefeed speed
... 0.5 m/min - maximum wirefeed speed
(e.g. 22.0 m/min)
- Welding voltage
... 10.0 - 40.0 V
- Arc-force correction
dynamics at the instant of droplet transfer
0.0 ..... harder, more stable arc
10.0 ... soft, low-spatter arc
- Welding current
(only displayed as actual value)
- Shift the mains switch
the control panel briefly light up)
- Use the Process button
- Use the MIG/MAG mode button

- Use the torch mode button
mode
N.B.! In the Manual mode, the torch "Aluminium 4-step mode"
only corresponds to conventional 4-step operation.
- Use the Program button
program ("characteristic") as per table of programs
N.B.! If the machine does not reach the pre-set welding voltage,
the power source delivers the highest voltage that is possible at
that time.
- Set the wirefeed speed
correction
parameters separately
- Open the gas-cylinder valve
- Set the gas-flow rate
- Press the torch trigger and start welding
Ignition time-out function
N.B.! In the factory settings, the ignition time-out function is not
enabled. Where needed, the ignition time-out function can be
enabled in "Set-up menu" (by setting it to a value of 5 to 100 mm
"ito | 5 ... 100").
See the section headed "Set-up menu" for information regar-
ding settings, ranges and measuring-units of the ignition time-
out parameter (ito).
When the torch trigger is pressed, the gas pre-flow begins
immediately, followed by wirefeed start-up and ignition. If no
current starts to flow before the end of a wirefeed length that is
defined in the set-up menu, the machine cuts out automatically.
The error message "Err | Ito" appears on the operating panel.
To make another attempt to achieve ignition, press the torch
trigger again.

Special 2-step mode for automatic interface
The special 2-step mode for automatic interface is available
when a AUT 1 / AUT 2 automatic interface is connected up to
the remote control connection socket.
- Select "2-step mode" with the torch mode button
N.B.! See the section headed "Set-up menu" for information
regarding settings, ranges and measuring-units of the available
parameters. The parameters for the operating mode "Special 2-
step mode for automatic interface" in the "Set-up menu" ("Para-
meters for "Special 2-step mode for automatic interface") can
only be selected when an automatic interface is connected up
to the remote control connection socket.
