Troubleshooting
The digital welding machines are equipped with an intelligent safety system. This means that apart from the coolant-pump fuse,
there was no need for any melting-type fuses at all. After a possible malfunction or error has been remedied, the welding machine
can be put back into normal operation again without any fuses having to be changed.
Warning! Before opening up the welding machine, switch it off, unplug it from the mains and put up a warning sign to stop
anybody inadvertently switching it back on again. If necessary, discharge the electrolytic capacitors.

N.B.! If any other error message appears on the displays, which is not described here, then the fault is one that can only be put
right by a service technician. Make a note of the error message shown in the display, and of the serial number and configuration
of the power source, and get in touch with our after-sales service.
Cause
No pre-programmed program has been
selected
Over-temperature in primary circuit of
welding machine
Over-temperature in secondary circuit of
welding machine
Over-temperature in the control circuit
Phase failure
Mains undervoltage: Mains voltage has
dropped below the tolerance range (+/-
15%)
Mains overvoltage: Mains voltage has
risen above the tolerance range (+/- 15%)
"Ignition time-out" function is active: No
current started flowing before the length
of wire specified in the set-up menu had
been fed. The safety cut-out of the power
source has been triggered.
Fault in the wirefeed system
Motor of drive unit is stuck or defective
External supply voltage: Supply voltage
has dropped below the tolerance range
External supply voltage: Supply voltage
has risen above the tolerance range
Cooling-unit flow watchdog has been trig-
gered

Remedy
Select a pre-programmed program
Allow the machine to cool down
Allow the machine to cool down
Allow the machine to cool down
Check mains fuse protection, mains
supply lead and mains plug
Check mains voltage
Check mains voltage
Shorten the wire stickout; press the
torch trigger repeatedly; clean the sur-
face of the workpiece; if necessary,
increase the setting in "Set-up menu"
for the length of wire that is fed before
the safety cut-out is triggered
Arrange the hosepack in as straight a
line as possible; check that there are no
kinks or dirt in the inner liner; check the
contact pressure in the 2-roller (or 4-
roller) drive
Check / change motor of drive unit
Check external supply voltage
Check external supply voltage
Check the cooling unit; if nec., top up
the coolant and/or vent the water for-
ward-flow hose as described in "Star-
ting up the cooling unit"
Initialise "Robot ready" signal
