6.5.2 Empty the Filter Unit with Compressed Air
Requirements
— The filtration process is ended.
— The system is not under pressure.
Procedure
Push the system rail extension down with the air filter holder and remove
t
the air filter.
Connect the air filter and pressure safety device with the tri-clamp.
t
Connect the compressed air supply to the pressure safety device (1).
t
Check that the inlet valve actuator is in the [close] position.
t
Move the filter unit into the emptying position.
t
Put the outlet valve actuator in the [open] position.
t
Ensure that there are no kinks in the venting tubing.
t
Pressurize the system with a maximum of 0.5 bar.
t
Monitor pressurization during the emptying process.
t
The filter unit empties.

Once no more liquid is flowing out of the filter unit:
t
Close the compressed air supply.
t
Put the venting valve actuator in the [close] position.
t
Put the outlet valve actuator in the [close] position.
t
6.6 Disconnect the Connections and Valve
Actuators from the Filter Unit
Requirements
— The filtration process is ended.
— The filter unit is empty.
— The system is not under pressure.
Procedure
Put all three valve actuators in the [open] position.
t
Disconnect the inlet and outlet tubing, e.g., with Clipster
t
Loosen the three valve actuators. Lift the lock (1), turn the valve actuator
t
counter-clockwise, and remove.
Keep the three valve actuators safe in the valve holder on the trolley.
