Note: Do not damage the cylindrical walls on the inside of the socket,
then the sealing won't work.
18. Remove all dust, dirt or similar contamination from the socket and the
Distal Connector.
19. Put the four Spacers into the ø 10 mm holes (Fig. 12a).
20. Assemble the Distal Connector and Lock Body.
21. Apply medium strength threadlocker to the threads of the Flat-head
Screws to fasten them.
22. Torque the Flat-head Screws to 10 Nm.
Note: Make sure the four holes stay aligned.
Caution:
• Make sure not to manipulate the connector area when adjusting the
socket with heat during the fitting process. Fix this area with rigid tape
before heating.
• Do not let threadlocker or resin enter the lock body. The lock body will
not operate if contaminated.
LAMINATED SOCKETS
Note: To make sure the definitive socket is airtight, use PETG for a thin
inner layer.
1. Do the steps given in the "Preparation" section.
2. To drape, do steps 1 through 8 given in the "Thermoplastic Sockets"
section
3. Put the Small Square Ring back on again.
Note: It prevents resin leaks towards the distal connector.
4. Align the four holes of the Aluminum Dummy with the four holes on
the Distal Connector.
5. Secure the Aluminum Dummy with the Central Screw (Fig. 7b).
