GREASING

Proper and regular lubrication is indispensable
for the good performance and durability of the
machine. The indicated intervals take into account
their use under normal working conditions. Under
severe conditions, they should be reduced. Periodic
inspections and the use of clean, good quality
lubricants are recommended.
ƒ Before lubricating, thoroughly clean the grease
fittings to prevent grease contamination.
ƒ Replace damaged grease fittings.
ƒ Greasing is more efficient when done at the end
of the working period as grease flows better while
the machine is still warm.
ƒ Some points on the machine can reach high
temperature after a time on. For maximum safety,
wear appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, etc.)
when performing lubrication.
ƒ Keep lubricants always protected from dust,
moisture and other contaminants.
GREASING
Use special grease for bearings (multi-purpose),
based on lithium soap, NLGI 2 EP rating (p. ex.:
LUBRAX LITH-2).
LOWER BEARINGS OF DRUMS
A
With the aid of a grease gun, lubricate the lower
bearings of the drums by means of the two grease
fittings (A).

The transmission gears of the drums are perma-
nently lubricated and their periodic lubrication is
not required.
In the case of maintenance of the box, only the
greases recommended below should be used:
