LUBRICATION OF THE CHAIN
Proper lubrication prolongs the service life, prevents
oxidation and premature wear of the chains.
Apply a light coat of special oil for chains, such as
the MAXLUB ND-03 Bardahl.
If available, use special chain lubricant (spray
grease) as it provides more efficient lubrication
D
between the chain pins and rollers.
NOTE: Do not use ordinary grease on the chain as
it does not penetrate the links and pins.
Lubrication period: Lubrication is recommended
every 40 hours at the end of the day, while the
chains are still hot from the operation.
Whenever necessary, wash them with kerosene or
diesel oil using a brush
CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
Chain working with inadequate clearance causes
noise and can escape from the gears, in addition
to suffering premature wear
A
Check chain clearance every 50 hours of work
or weekly.
Adjusting the transmission chain clearance:
C
Adjustment is made through the wheel (A), releasing
B
the locknut (B) and tightening the tensioner (C) until
clearance is eliminated.
After eliminating the clearance, tighten the lock
nut (B).
NOTE!
After adjustment, be sure to retighten the locknut
(B), otherwise the tensioner will loosen and the
chain will be damaged.
