1. Keep your hands away from the needle when you turn the power switch ON or while the machine
is operating.
2. Do not put your fingers into the thread take-up cover while the machine is operating.
3. Turn OFF the power switch before tilting the machine head or removing the belt cover and the V belt.
4. Never bring your fingers, hair or clothing close to, or place anything on the handwheel, V-belt or motor
during operation.
5. If your machine is provided with a belt cover, finger guard, do not operate your machine with any of
them removed.
6. When tilting the machine head, exercise care not to allow your fingers etc. to be caught under the
machine head.
1. To achieve, security, be sure that the power supply earth wire has been connected before operating
the sewing machine.
2. Before inserting/removing the power plug, the power switch has to be turned OFF in advance.
3. Prior to carrying out inspection or adjustment of the sewing machine, cleaning, threading or needle
change, be sure to turn the power OFF and depress the start pedal to make sure that the sewing
machine does not start running.
4. In time of thunder and lightning, stop your work and disconnect the power plug from the receptacle so
as to ensure safety.
5. When you move the unit from a cold place directly to a warm place, dew condensation may result.
Turn ON the power to the unit after you have confirmed there is no fear of dew condensation.
6. Be careful of handling this product so as not to pour water or oil, shock by dropping, and the like
since this product is a precision instrument.
7. To prevent fires, periodically draw out the power plug from the plug socket and clean the root of the
pins and the space between pins.
8. Prior to carrying out maintenance, inspection or repair work, be sure to turn OFF the power switch and
check to be sure that the sewing machine and motor are brought to a complete stop.
(In the case of a clutch motor, be aware that the motor continues to rotate for a while by inertia even
after turning OFF the power switch.)
9. To avoid possible accidents due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to turn OFF the power to the
machine.
10. When tilting or returning the sewing machine to the home position, hold the upper side of the machine
head with both hands and perform the work quietly so that fingers or the like are not caught in the
machine.
CAUTION :
Note that safety devices such as "eye guard", "finger guard", etc. may be omitted from the illustrations in
this Instruction Manual for easy explanation.
When operating the machine, be sure not to remove these safety devices.
