21. Defects - Malfunctions
Direct action by the customer
Before calling service personnel, to avoid useless expense, check whether the machine problem corresponds to one of
the cases listed below.
PROBLEM
The coffee machine is not
working.
The machine does not dispense
coffee.
Coffee dispensing time too short.
Coffee drips out of machine.
Loss of water under the machine.
The machine display appears in
a different color and the "error"
message appears.
The enabled boiler resistance
symbol "
", remains visible
on the display, but the coffee
machine does not reach its
operating pressure.
CAUSE
No electricity supply.
Water reservoir empty.
The undercup gasket is dirty with
coffee residue.

SOLUTION
Check the electricity supply.
Check that the plug is inserted into the socket
and that the line separator switch is closed
Check the position of the ON/OFF
switch (1).
Check the color of the display and if the "no
water" icon
Check the water level in the reservoir.
Clean with the supplied brush.
Use new coffee.
Clean.
Use a coarser grind.
Empty the drain tray.
Check that the dispensing devices are
enabled. Use the general on-off switch (1)
to turn off the machine and then turn it on
again.
Remove the tray; unscrew the safety cap and
check the position of the safety thermostat.
