AirFlow S2

Air and/or powder may leak from between the lid of the powder chamber (14) and the
powder chamber (13). Should this occur, clean the threads on the lid (14) and the
powder chamber (13) with a soft cloth or tooth brush.
Should air and/or powder continue to leak, check if the round flat seal (40) in the
lid (14) is in good condition and fits properly. Remove the seal (40) from the lid (14)
and clean it with a soft cloth. Then replace the seal (40) - inserting its flat surface first -
in the lid (14). Screw the lid (14) back onto the powder chamber (13). Should air and/or
powder continue to leak, replace the seal (40).
Your AirFlow S2 is provided with three condensation water collectors (35) which
remove the residual moisture from the compressed air. The water collects in the
condensation water collectors (35) and must be drained once per week. To do so, hold
the unit in an horizontal position. Switch the unit on and press the first button which can
be felt on the bottom of the unit. You will feel and hear the compressed air escaping.
Hold the button in until the water (a few drops) has been forced out of the conden-
sation water collector (35). Use the same procedure for the other two buttons.
Your AirFlow S2 also includes a water filter (41) with integrated water filter cartridge
(42) which prevents the water channels in the unit becoming blocked by suspended
particles etc. The screw cap of the water filter (41), which allows access to the integral
water filter cartridge (42), is on the bottom of the unit. Clean the filter cartridge monthly.
To do so, unplug the unit from the power supply and pull the quick-link coupling off the
back of the unit to disconnect the water supply. Use a coin or screwdriver to unscrew
the cap of the water filter (41) and drain the water. Unscrew the water filter cartridge
(42) with the tool (43) supplied. Clean the water filter cartridge (42) by rinsing it under
running water and blasting it with compressed air. Tenacious dirt can be removed by
immersing the water filter cartridge (42) in an ultrasonic cleaner. Only use ultrasonic
cleaning liquids suitable for brass. Should this still not clean the water filter cartridge
(42) properly, replace it with a new one. Reconnect the water filter cartridge (42) and
check that the screw cap seals properly.
The handpiece hoses (6, 18) normally do not need special care, except surface
disinfection. Do not immerse the hoses in liquids and do not sterilize them.
In rare cases, powder particles may block the AirFlow handpiece hose (18). In this
case, pull the hose off the unit and try to unblock the hose with compressed air at a
maximum of 5 bars. Do not use the cleaning rods (33, 34) as they will damage the
handpiece hose. Before reconnecting the hose to the unit, you must clean both
couplings. Remove any remains of powder with a cloth. Then check if the O-rings (39)
of the AirFlow handpiece hose (18) are in a good condition and fit properly. Insert the
AirFlow handpiece hose (18) into the coupling (26) again.
