Checking the triggering safety device
The spring of the triggering safety device must not be damaged.
To check the triggering safety device, follow these steps:
▶ Make certain the tool is turned off (no LEDs are lit, see also
page 28).
▶ Remove the rechargeable battery.
▶ Press the spring-loaded tool tip down.
▶ If the tool tip springs back freely, the spring of the triggering
safety device is in good condition. Only then may the tool be
placed in operation.
Scratches on the housing or magazine are not damage.

▶ Danger of injury when operating a damaged
fastener driving tool or if an accessory is not
fastened correctly.
▶ Check the condition of the fastener driving
tool every time before using it.
▶ Use the tool only when it is in proper condition.
▶ If you cannot restore it to proper condition,
have the tool repaired by the manufacturer's
Customer Service (see page 74).
