Under Refrigerator
For most efficient operation,
you need to keep the area
under' the refrigerator clean.
Remove the base grille and
either sweep away or
vacuum up dust that is
readily accessible on the
condenser coils.
Clean the condenser
coils at least once a year',.
TO REHOVE THE BASE GRILLE,
open both doors, grasp the bottom
of the grille and pull it out,
TO REPLACE THE BASE
GRILLE, line up the clips on
the back of the grille with
the openings in the base
plate and push the grille
forward until it snaps
into place.
Behind Refrigerator
Care should be taken in moving your refrigerator away
from the wall,. All types of floor coverings can be
damaged, particularly cushioned coverings and those
with embossed surfaces_ Pull the iefrigerator straight
out and return it to position by pushing it straight inn
Moving your reiCrigetator in a side direction may result
in damage to your floor covering or refrigerator.
When pushing the refiigerator back, make sure you
don't rot! over the power cord or icemaker supply line_
When You Go On Vacation
For extended vacations or absences, shut off power
to the refiigerator, turn the control to the OFF
position and clean the interior with a baldng soda
solution of one tablespoon (15 ml) of baiting soda to
one quart (1 L) of water_ Wipe dr3_ To prevent odors,
leave an open box of baldng soda in the refiigerato_;
Leave the doors open_ Move icemaker feeler arm to the
STOP (up) position and shut off water supply to
refiigerator.
If the tempmature can drop below fieezing, have a
qualified servicer drain the water supply system to
prevent serious property damage due to flooding.,
When you return flora vacation, select WATER. on the
dispenser and press the dispenser pad for at least two
minutes to remove stale water f)'om the water system
When You Move
Disconnect the power cord fiom the wall outlet,
remove all food, and clean and dry the interior
SECURE ALL LOOSE ITEMS such as shelves and
drawers by taping them secmely in place to prevent
damage°
Be sure the refiigerator stays in an upright position
during actual moving and in the van_ It must be
secured in the van to prevent movement° Protect the
outside of the refrigerator with a blanket.
