Possible Cause
• Door may have been left ajar or package holding door open,
o Too f_equent or too long doo, openings.
° Frost within
package is normal.
° Door may have been left ajar_
o Turn temperature of freezer compartment colder'.
° Old cubes need to be discarded. Empty ice bin every 50 days°
o Ice storage bin needs to be washed.
o Unsealed packages in _ef_igerator and/or freezer compartments may be transmitting
odor!taste to ice cubes_
o Interior of refrigerator needs cleaning.
° tcemalCer feeler arm in STOP (up) position_
° Water supply turned off, not connected, or the water tubing is clogged
° Freezer
compartment
too warm_
Sometimes cubes fuse to the side of the ice mold and hold the feeler arm in the
STOP (up) position° Remove this ice to restart the icemakerr.
° Piled up cubes in storage bin may cause icemaker to shut off piematurely.
"With icemaker libeler arm in STOP (up) position, level cubes in bin by hand
o When reaching fbr cubes by hand, you may have pushed the fi_eler arm into the
STOP (up) position by mistake°
o Cubes too small--water shutoff valve connecting refrigerator to home water line
may be clogged.
o Water filter may be clogged. Replace filter cartridge or remove filter and install plugo
o Remove storage containe_: If cubes are frozen to wire arm, remove cubes.
° Icemaker or water supply turned off.
o If you find irregular ice clumps in the storage containei; break up as many as you can
with fingertip pressure and discard the remaining clumps,
° If you don't use the ice very often, ice clumps may form in the storage bin and can clog
the dispenser° Remove the storage bin from the freezer and break up ice clumps with
your hands. Throw away any clumps that you can't break up.
° The doors are designed to stay open partway for ease of loading food.
