PROBLEM
Saw will not start
Blade does not come
up to speed when
powered by the power
adapter.
Blade hits table.
Angle of bevel cut not
accurate.
Miter angle cannot be
changed.
Head assembly cannot
be fully raised or blade
guard cannot fully close.
Blade binds, jams,
burns wood.
Rough cuts.
Head assembly slides
forward and back when
making a chop cut.
TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUSE
Battery pack charge is depleted.
Battery pack not installed properly.
Power adapter not plugged in.
Power adapter cord is damaged.
Burned out switch.
Extension cord is too light or too
long.
Misalignment.
0° or 45° angle stop need
adjustment.
Miter-lock lever is tightened.
Miter detent is engaged with a
detent (slot).
Sawdust accumulation.
Head-assembly lock pin is
engaged.
Sawdust accumulation.
Improper operation.
Dull blade.
Improper blade.
Bent blade.
Slide-rail lock knob is loose.
Charge the battery pack.
Reinstall the battery pack.
Plug the power adapter into a
functioning power outlet.
Have cord replaced by a FLEX
Factory Service Center or
Authorized FLEX Service Station.
Have the switch replaced by a
FLEX Factory Service Center or
Authorized FLEX Service Station.
Replace with an adequate cord.
Have the saw repaired by a
FLEX Factory Service Center or
Authorized FLEX Service Station.
Refer to chapters "ADJUSTING
0° BEVEL STOP" and
"ADJUSTING 45° BEVEL STOP"
Release the miter-lock lever.
Press the miter-detent release
button to disengage.
Blow out dust.
Pull out the lock pin.
Blow out the dust or send to a
FLEX Factory Service Center or
Authorized FLEX Service Station.
See "OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS" section.
Replace or sharpen blade.
Change the blade type.
Replace the blade.
Tighten the knob.
