Safety measures
Operating instructions (Version B)
For safe operation of the vehicle lift, the following safety measures must be
complied with:
• only use this vehicle lift for the raising of vehicles and not for any other
purpose,
• install the vehicle lift so that a safe working area is obtained and also make
adequate provision for emergency escape routes (minimum 600 mm free
passage),
• only allow competent persons to operate the vehicle lift;
these persons shall in every case be familiar with the vehicle lift operating
instructions,
• when operating the vehicle lift, always ensure that there are no persons or
objects in the work area of the vehicle lift (including the vehicle),
• closely monitor the vehicle during vehicle lift raising and lowering operations,

Dangerous situations can arise because of obstacles (axle stands,
transmission jacks, etc.) under the vehicle during lowering.

Dangerous situations can arise through lifting a too high vehicle too high
with the vehicle lift.
• never go on top of or underneath the vehicle lift (with load) when the vehicle
lift is in operation,
• never climb on to the vehicle lift or on the vehicle when it is being raised,
• on the occurrence of a fault or after completion of activities, always set the
vehicle lift to the lowest position and disconnect the mains power supply by
the main switch; turn the main switch to the 0 position and interlock it with a
padlock,
• when carrying out welding activities on the vehicle lift, ensure there is good
earthing; otherwise damage can be caused to the hydraulic cylinder, cabling
etc.

Incorrect operation or poor maintenance can lead to personal injury or
damage to objects.
2.4.1 Emergency stop
The main switch, on the right in the control panel, should also be used as an
emergency stop switch. In the event of a dangerous situation, stop the vehicle
lift by using this switch.
After the emergency stop has been used, check:
• if anybody needs to be freed,
• if the vehicle lift is damaged.
