Operating instructions (Version B)
Inspection and
maintenance
When carrying out inspection and maintenance, always set the vehicle lift to the
lowest position and switch off the mains power supply switch (position 0).
Interlock the switch with a padlock.
The mains power supply can be temporarily disconnected and the vehicle lift set
to a higher position only when prescribed settings and checks necessitate such
action.
Warning
w
When the vehicle lift is in a higher position, always lower it by interlock.
The vehicle lift must be subjected to a thorough check annually. The vehicle lift
can be competently checked by mechanics from Stertil B.V. through a
maintenance contract.
5.2.1 Daily maintenance by the user
1. Check the vehicle lift for visible damage.
2. Check for signs of oil leakage from the hydraulic unit, the hoses or the
cylinder.
5.2.2 Monthly maintenance by the user
1. Check the operation of the interlock pawls by raising the vehicle lift and then
lowering it onto the pawls.
Note
n
If the interlock pawls are not functioning correctly, refer to the service
department.
2. Carry out monthly lubrication activities as specified in
5.2.3 Annual maintenance
The user should have the vehicle lift inspected annually by trained lift service
personnel (hereafter referred to as the service department). A maintenance
contract can be arranged with the service department for this annual inspection.
If no maintenance contract is arranged, the user should arrange for an annual
inspection and maintenance service himself.
This inspection is recorded in the inspection check list.
Note
n
'Trained lift service personnel' refers to personnel of the Stertil-Koni
service department or another servicing agency recognized by Stertil-
Koni, both also designated as 'service department'. The consequences
of all repairs carried out on the car lift by non-trained lift service
personnel, are entirely at the user's risk.
