DC connection
10. DC connection
This chapter explains the requirements and process for connecting the DC wiring to the unit.
Read carefully before starting the connection process.

10.1. Safety instructions for the DC connection
DANGER
Make sure there is no voltage present on the unit before starting the connection.
Do not switch on the powerto the unit until you have successfully made the rest of the connections.
Use the Personal Protective Equipment specified in the section
When the PV array is exposed to sunlight the inverter has DC voltage.

Ingeteam accepts no liability for any damages caused by an incorrect connection.
10.2. Wiring requirements for the DC connection
CAUTION
The type of cabling for the connection must have dimensions in line with current regulations in the country of
installation and according to the type of installation and maximum current and voltage of the PV array.
The strings connected to the unit's connectors must be electrically independent of each other. That is, there
must not be any strings with a current higher than that permitted separated into several connectors, as the
current distribution is never guaranteed.

The inverter includes the aerial photovoltaic connectors required for connecting each string to the unit.
10.3. DC connection process

It is essential to check the polarity of the strings and correctly assemble their aerial connectors to ensure that
the connection to the unit has the correct polarity. Ingeteam accepts no liability for any consequences resulting
from an incorrect connection.
Connection via quick connectors
To ensure the correct operation of the switch, when connecting the strings the numbering must be respected.
That is, string 1 is connected to connectors PV1+ y PV1-. Proceed in the same way for the remaining strings to be
connected.
