Starting position at dressing unit
1.
Dressing mandrel to the right of the centre of the
grinding wheel in the direction of rotation and angle
of attack in the direction of rotation.

Dressing with adapter
It is also possible to use the adapter for the dressing
mandrel
Remove the dressing mandrel from the extractor. To
•
do this, unscrew the dressing mandrel with the sert
screw until the worm screw can be reached. Loosen
the worm screw and remove the dressing mandrel.
Insert the dressing mandrel (2) into the adapter (1) and
•
fix it with the Allen screw (3).
Clamp the adapter (4) onto the magnetic chuck.
•
Place the dressing mandrel close to the centre of the
•
grinding wheel.
NOTE:
Position LEFT of the grinding wheel centre (5) in
the direction of rotation. The dressing mandrel must not
yet touch the grinding wheel!
Dress the grinding wheel in manual grinding mode.
•
To do this, carefully move the grinding table forwards
and backwards with the hand wheel table cross travel
(6) and, by turning the hand wheel height adjustment
(7) (pulse setting "1"), carefully place the dressing
mandrel against the grinding wheel and remove the
material
Stop moving the grinding table with the hand wheel
•
height adjustment and carefully move the grinding
table back and forward with the hand wheel table
cross travel until no more material is removed.
Check the grinding wheel for flatness and repeat the
•
process until the desired result has been achieved.

After finishing assembly the dressing mandrel back to

the dressing unit and set it to the uppermost position
Remove the adapter from the magnetic chuck
