Packing adjustment
20 Make sure air pressure is zero.
21 Operate control valve into a container to
release any pressure within system.
22 Insert adjusting bar through slot in air
motor's tube and into hole of packing
screw.
23 Tighten packing screw clockwise

-turn.

24 Set air pressure to 25 psi (1.7 Bar).
25 Hold control valve open while aiming into
a suitable collection container.
26 Loosen packing screw until pump begins
to cycle.
NOTE
Break-in and wear of upper packings
require packing screw (6) readjustment
after approximately 6 hours of initial
operation (for new and overhauled
pumps) or anytime upper packings leak.
