LABORATORY ATTENUATION
The attenuation rating SNR was obtained with the device
powered off.
4.1. EXPLANATION OF ATTENUATION
TABLES
4.1.1. EUROPEAN STANDARD EN 352
3M strongly recommends personal fit testing of hearing
protectors. Research suggests that users may receive less
noise reduction than indicated by the attenuation label value(s)
on the packaging due to variation in fit, fitting skill, and
motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations and
guidance on how to adjust attenuation label value(s). In the
absence of applicable regulations, it is recommended that the
attenuation label value(s) be reduced to better estimate typical
protection.

4.2. CARRIER DEVICES
These earmuffs should be fitted to and used only with the
carrier devices listed in Table F. These earmuffs were tested
in combination with the carrier devices listed in Table F, and
may give different levels of protection if fitted to different
carrier devices.
