5.3 Putting into operation

Insert the exhaust nozzle (optional) into the connecting hole located on the
front side of the filtration unit.
Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the exhaust nozzle (optional).
Attach the exhaust hose using the magnetic holder to a suitable anchoring
point (steel frame etc.) and place it above welding site, at a distance of about
15 cm.
Check that all cover fittings are tightly closed.
Switch the filtration unit to "off" using the "I" / "0" / "Auto" button.
Connect the filtration unit to the power supply.
Now turn the device on using the button identified with "0" / "I" / "Auto"
symbols. When "I" position is selected, the turbines are started directly,
alternatively upon impulse from the welding machine - in "Auto" position. Using
the speed controller it is possible to adjust the exhaust power to ensure full
entrapment of the welding fumes without disruption of the protective
atmosphere.
If necessary, adjust the connected nozzles depending on the stage of the
process.

5.4 Auto-start/stop

MiniFil device is fitted with automatic start/stop function as described in the Section
5.3. For operation, use the following procedure:
Spring counter-tension (fig. 4, pos. 1) should be pulled back to enable
placement of the welding machine grounding cable between the positioning
plate (fig. 4, pos. 2) and spring counter-tension.
Activate the MiniFil device in automatic mode.
MiniFil device is automatically activated by current impulse from the welding machine
and turned off after ten second shut-down period after the welding is finished.
As the automatic Start/Stop system responds only to current flow changes in the
grounding cable, direct current welding processes are not frequently recognized. It
may be useful to install multiple grounding cable behind the spring-loaded counter-
pull system. Even if this measure is not successful, it is necessary to switch the
device manually off and on again.
