Increasing filter clogging with dust increases the flow resistance and hence reduces
the unit performance. Once the performance falls below the minimum value, the horn
will sound and the green operation lamp goes out. Now it is necessary to replace the
main filter and the particle filter.
CAUTION
Cleaning of filter elements is not allowed. This would inevitably
damage the filter medium, hence the filter would lose its function
and hazardous substances would pollute the inhaled air.
During the below-described activities be particularly careful about
the main filter seal. Only undamaged seal allows high separation
efficiency level of the unit. Main filter with a damaged seal must
therefore be in any case replaced.
-
Use only genuine spare filters, because only these are able to guarantee the
necessary degree of separation and are adapted to the filtration unit and the
performance parameters. Switch off the MiniFil device with the button
(fig. 3 pos. 1).
-
Avoid unintentional reactivation of the unit by unplugging the unit from
the socket.
a) Main filter replacement
Remove the new filter from box and stand it carefully on the side.
Open both lower clamps (fig. 1, pos. 7) and remove the unit clamped together
using upper clamps.
Make sure that the replaced filter remains in the device.
Peel off the sticker on the front of the main filter and use it to close off the hole
on the upper side of the main filter.
Hold the main filter (fig.1, pos.3) by the front and rear side and lift it carefully.
Remove the main filter from the device in the upwards direction.
Insert the main filter into the now empty cardboard box and close it.
Make sure as little dust as possible is stirred up.
Insert the new filter into the device in the same way as when you removed the
old one.
Install the in-line separator and cover back on the device inserting the nozzle
of the in-line separator in the upper hole of the main filter.
