To lift the chair when folded please use the upper parts of the side frame tubes and back handles.
Opening: Press downwards on the upper tubes of the cross frame until the chair is completely unfolded. Now put
the batteries in place. Note: Never lift the wheelchair by the armrests, since they are detachable and harm could
be done to the user or to the wheelchair.
Reclining back (0° - 30°) (Fig. 5):
The backrest can be adjusted in 7,5° increments by removing the two screws. To fix the required back angle, insert
the two bolts again and tighten with the nuts.
Caution: For safety reasons never remove the anti-tip wheels.
Caution: The reclining back is only to be used in combination with a stabilising bar. Please always make sure that
the stabilising bar is locked in place on both sides.

Height-adjustable footrests: To elevate: Lift the leg and the swing-up part of the leg support. The leg support
engages automatically as soon as you let go of it. To lower: Lift up the leg and press the lever to release while
lowering the footrest. This will now remain in its new position as soon as you let go of the lever.
Caution: Keep hands clear of the adjustment mechanism between the frame and the moving parts of the footrest
while adjusting the legrest.
To steer the chair simply move the joystick or knob in the desired direction. The further forward you push it, the
faster the wheelchair will travel. The knob regulates the power and top speed. When it is released, the brakes will
activate automatically and the wheelchair will come to a standstill. It is important that you stop the wheelchair before
you change direction from forward to reverse. Always turn off the wheelchair before you get off. Look ahead while
you drive, not at the controls. Remember that only with practice will you become a competent driver.
Joystick
Your wheelchair is controlled by:
Joystick: This determines the speed and direction of the wheelchair. The further forward you push it, the faster
the wheelchair will travel. When the joystick returns to its central position, the brakes will activate automatically.
On flat ground, braking distance is equal to the length of the wheelchair. On a hill it may be a little more.
