6.5 Functional Test

After assembly, the following points have to be checked:
• Does the foot cuff overlap the protector by approx. 2 cm?
• Is the function of the rotation adapter impaired?
Material may be removed from the protector to improve the functionality.
INFORMATION: If material is removed, the stability/flexibility of the protector on the
knee joint may be impaired.

Charging the C-Leg batteries with the protector installed
It may be difficult for the prosthesis user to open the charging receptacle cover through the
recess in the lengthwise closure with his/her fingers. In this case, the battery charger plug may
be used to pry open the cover.
7 Maintenance
► During the standard inspection of the prosthesis components, also inspect the product.

7.1 Cleaning and Care

NOTICE
Improper product care
Damage to the product due to the use of incorrect cleaning agents.
Only clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap (e.g. 453H10=1 Ottobock Der­

maClean).
1) Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth.
2) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
3) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
