− The adhesive electrodes may not be modified in
size, e.g. through cutting off parts.
The distance between electrodes should not be
less than 2 in (5 cm) and should not exceed 6 in
(15 cm).
− Do not pull on the wires when removing the ad-
hesive electrodes. Lift the adhesive electrodes
by their edges and gently pull off. Ensure when
using the TENS application that the electrodes
are placed in an area which encloses the pain
area. With pain in muscle groups, adhere the
electrodes so that they enclose all the relevant
muscles.
− When using an EMS application, please note
the following regarding the placement of the
electrodes: If you wish to activate surface mus-
cles, adhere the adhesive electrodes parallel
to the orientation of the muscle fiber. To reach
deep muscle layers, it is recommended that the
adhesive electrodes be adhered perpendicu-
lar (crosswise) to the orientation of the muscle
fiber.
In which areas should use of the
adhesive electrodes be avoided?
− The adhesive electrodes may not be used on ar-
eas of the body with irritated skin, nor on open
and fresh wounds and fresh scars.
