8.6. Description carrying
strap
The carrying strap consists of the
main components:
■ Textile strap
adjustable belt clasp
■ 2 padded adapter plates
[3-5]
■ Belt loop for breathing air tube
The grid plate of the fastening mod-
ule is slid into the guide grooves
of the adapter plate until the fixing
projection locks into place.
A protection cap [3-3] is slid onto
the unused adapter plate to protect
the guide grooves.

9.1. Initial commissioning
of breathing protection
hood
The breathing protection hood is
delivered in an assembled and
operationally ready state.
After unpacking, please check the
following:
■ Breathing protection hood damaged.
■ Scope of delivery complete (see
chapter 6.1).
Personalise breathing protection
hood
The breathing protection hood can
be personalised with a CCS-disk
[4-2]. At the plant, a red CCS-disk
is mounted on the right and left

with padded,

[3-2],
bearing bolt [4-1] of the visor.
Exchange CCS-disk
■ Push the CCS-disks out from the
inside of the hood and replace it with
CCS-disks of different colours.
Adjust head straps
The head straps have four adjust-
ment possibilities for the individual
adjustment to the wearer. To adjust
the head straps, remove them from
[3-7]
the hood shell as follows.
■ Remove hood cloth
[1-6]

■ Unbutton the rear assembly flaps

and unlock the catches of the front
assembly flaps
■ Remove head straps.
Adjust head straps to head size.
Use the adjusting screw [5-4] to
enlarge or reduce the size of the
head straps until the head straps
are wrapped around the head with-
out pressure.
Adjust height of the head straps
The bottom edge of the front of the
comfort head band [5-5] should
be positioned approx. 1 cm above
the eyebrows. To do this, extend or
shorten the head band [5-2] via the
catch setting until the right position
is reached. For a more pleasant
carrying sensation, the enclosed
comfort head band can be attached
to the head band.
