■ Aluminium is present at the front com-
fort head band and clean.
■ The fixing of the folding visor is
functional.
Put on the breathing protection
hood.
■ Put on the breathing protection hood
with open visor.
■ Check the settings of the head straps.
Fix the breathing protection hood with
the adjusting screw
■ Close the visor.
Notice!
Persons wearing spectacles
may find that the spectacles are
shifted by the facial seal [1-12].
To correct the visor foil [1-10]
on one side (see chapter 10.2),
correct position of spectacles and
fasten visor foil properly again.
■ Check the seating and impermeability
of the facial seal as well as the field
of vision.
■ Close the hood cloth on the chest
side with the velcro fastener
[1-19]

Ensure operational readiness
of the breathing protection
equipment.
Notice!
The air regulator must be con-
nected to the compressed air
supply system (see chapter 11).
■ Thread the breathing air tube through
the belt loop and connect it to the air
[2-6]
regulator

■ Set the air volume flow
The breathing protection equipment
is operationally ready.
Warning!
If at the same time a spray gun
is used at the air outlet [2-3] with
the SATA spray gun air tube 1.2
m (article no. 13870), the follow-
ing must be taken into account:
1. Set inlet pressure with the
trigger of the spray gun fully
removed.
2. With the trigger pulled,
increase the operational
over-pressure of the filter unit
until the acoustic warning sig-
nal is no longer heard. (This
can vary depending on the
spray gun, tube length etc.)
Adjust breathing air regulation
Notice!
■ If the serial air regulation in the
visor is found to be uncomfortable,
this can be adjusted by inserting
the accompanying air guide mech-
[10-1]
anism
[1-9]
. The air guide mechanism is
included in the delivery.
