Danger during use
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrect use.ToexcludetheriskofinjurieswhenusingtheStandingFrame,
thefollowingmustbeobserved:
• Checktheuserbeltispositionedcorrectlybeforetheuserstandsup.
• Toavoidincreasedpressureontheuser'skneeswhenstandingup,theusershouldhaveasitting
positioninthewheelchairinwhichthekneeangleisatleast90°.
• IftheStandingFrameisequippedwith4wheels(standardwiththeStandingFrameforchildren),
allwheellocksmustbeappliedbeforeuse.TheStandingFramemustnotbemovedwhileaper-
sonisusingit.
• Theelectricstraprewindermustbedisconnectedfromthemainsforrelocation,prolongeddisuse
orstorageofthedevice.
CAUTION
Risk of falling if the indexing plungers have not engaged.AfterpositioningtheuserintheStanding
Frame,makesurethattheindexingplungersoftheadjustmentdevices(straprewinder,kneepads,
supportpads)havefirmlyengaged.
Danger due to incorrect assembly or settings
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrect setting of the emergency/safety cut-out stop button.Individualfine
adjustmentoftheemergency/safetycut-outstopbuttontogetherwiththeadjustmentoftheproper
tableheightmayonlybecarriedoutbythespecialistdealer/physiotherapistinthepresenceoftheuser.
Individualfineadjustmenthastobeperformedsuchthattheuser'sabdomencannotbepulledagainst
theabdominalpadinawaycausingpainwhenstandingup(seeSection3.3.2).
CAUTION
Risk of injury if the emergency/safety cut-out does not work.Iftheemergency/safetycut-out
mechanismdoesnotswitchoffthedevicewhenoperatingthestopbutton(e.g.duringthecheckswe
recommendtoperformonaweeklybasis,seeSection3.3.2),thenthereisamalfunctionandthedevice
mustbeinspectedbyaspecialistdealer/physiotherapistpriortoanyfurtheruse.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrect table height setting.WhenadjustingthetableheightoftheStanding
Framemakesurethattheemergency/safetycut-outdevicehassufficientdistancetothehandrail's
crosstubetoensureproperfunctionoftheautomaticemergency/safetycut-outmechanism.Itmight
benecessarytoadjusttheelectricstraprewinderhigher.
CAUTION
Risk of injury if the sip and puff control does not work.Malfunctionscanoccuriftheairhoseofthe
sipandpuffcontroliskinkedorpinched.
Theairhoseofthesipandpuffcontrolmustalwaysbelaidandplacedinawaythatanyunwanted
functionsarenotpossible(bytheuser,attendantorathirdperson).Ifthesipandpuffcontrolisnot
required,theairhosecanbepulledofftheconnectionpiece.
