4.6 In case of a Power Failure (with electric strap rewinder)
Ifthereisapowerfailurewhileusingtheelectricstraprewinder,atleastoneattendantisrequired
toreleasetheuserfromtheStandingFrameinordertohelptheuserbackintothewheelchair.
Thefollowingdescriptionstartsfromtheassumptionthattheattendantisright-handed.Fora
left-handedattendanttheinstructionsmustbecarriedoutfromtheoppositeside.
1. PositionthewheelchairtotheleftoftheStandingFrameascloseaspossible(foruselater)
butallowingenoughspacefortheattendanttostandbehindtheuser.
2. Theattendantstandsbehindtheuserandopensthehook-and-loopclosure.
3. Withtherightarm,theattendantgraspsundertheuser'saxillaandaroundhisthorax.
4. Withthelefthand,theattendantopensthestrapclosureoftheuserbeltwhilerelievingthe
pressureontheuserbeltbypushingtheuserslightlyforward.
5. Withthelefthand,theattendantgraspsundertheuser'sbuttockstosupporthimwhen
glidingbackintothewheelchair.
5 Options
INFORmATION
TheStandingFramecanonlybeusedwithonetypeofstraprewinder.Acombinationofmanualand
electricstraprewinderisnotallowed!Thestraprewindermayonlybeexchangedwhenthedeviceis
notinusebyanypersonandwhenitisdisconnectedfromthemainssupply.
TheStandingFrameisdesignedasamodularassemblysystem.Thismeansthatcertain
accessoriescanbeadaptedtotheStandingFrame.Inthefollowing,wewillpresentyoua
selectionofourvariantsandaccessorieswhichimprovetheuseandcomfortoftheStanding
Frame.
5.1 Manual Strap Rewinder (Fig. 17 / 18)
INFORmATION
Useofthiskindofstraprewinderissuitableonlyforuserswhohaveenougharmstrengthtobeable
tostandupandsitdowninacontrolledmanner.
Themanualstraprewinder(Fig.17)hasbeendesignedforuserswhohaveenoughstrength
enablingthemtostandupontheirown.
Bringthelowerswitchlever(Fig.17,item1/Fig.18)intotheposition"release".Itisnowpos-
sibletounwindthestraps.Connectthestrapswiththeuserbelt.
Bringthelowerswitchleverintotheposition"stand"(Fig.18).Now,themechanicalsystemof
themanualstraprewinderallowsonlyrewindingofthestraps.Thissystemdoesnotactually
assisttheliftbutmakesself-liftingsafer,asthestrapswilllockinanypositionifputunderten-
sion,allowingtheusertorestorrepositiontheirarmsduringthelift.
Forsittingdownagain,bringtheupperswitchlever(Fig.17,item2)intothe"release"position.
