Moving the pressure pad toward the front of the machine increases pressure on the tape. For smooth
operation with heavier tape, you must increase the pressure. For example, with reinforced or 90 lb
tape, move the pressure pad forward. With light 35 lb tape, move the pressure pad back. For normal
operation with 60 lb tape, leave the pressure pad set in the center.
To change the pressure pad position, loosen the pressure pad screw and slide the pad forward or
backward (see Figure 7). When the pressure pad is set in the correct position, tighten the screw.
