Cleaning the Gears
6. Remove the cutter by removing the two screws as shown in Figure 10.
7. Clean both sides of each cutter blade with warm water.
8. Attach the cutter to the Electra.
9. Tighten the screws on the keypad plate
10. Reassemble the moistening system. Refill the water bottle
11. Plug in the power cord and turn the power switch ON.
Twice a year clean and lubricate the gears inside the tape dispenser. To do this:
1. Turn the switch to the OFF position and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the water bottle and unhook the water regulator.
3. Remove the brush tank (with the hose and regulator attached) from the tape dispenser by
undoing the fastener and pulling holding clip to the left (when facing the front of the
machine.)
CAUTION: The water in the tank and the exposed heater tube may be hot.
4. Pour the water from the moistening system.
