Troubleshooting
Problem: The tape doesn't stick to the carton.
Possible Cause:
1. The tape may not be moist enough. Is the water bottle full?
2. Is the water hose clogged?
3. Is the brush clean?
4. Are the bristles of the brush worn?
5. Is there enough pressure on the brush?
6. Is the water regulator set correctly for the weight of the
tape you are using?
7. Is the water temperature set correctly?
8. Are the cartons dirty or made from recycled paper?

Solution:
1. Fill the water bottle.
2. Remove the water bottle and carefully disconnect the water
hose. Flush the hose through with warm water.
3. Clean the brush (see the Maintenance section).
4. If the bristles do not extend above the top of the tank, the
brush needs to be replaced.
5. Adjust the pressure pad (see the Operation section).
6. Adjust the water regulator. For information about setting
the water regulator (see Selecting the Water Level in the
Operation section).
7. Adjust the thermostat (see the Maintenance section).
8. The tape may not stick properly on some recycled paper
cartons, or dirty cartons. Increase the water level and/or
the water temperature (see the Operation and/or
Maintenance section).
Solution:
1. Adjust the water level (see the Operation section).
Solution:
1. Adjust the measuring wheel pressue (see the Maintenance
section).
2. See the procedure on page 37.
3. Remove any tape from the machine. Brush the feed wheel
from side to side with a stiff brush until the wheel is clean.
4. Dry the feed wheel and tape channel. Replace the roll of
tape, if necessary.
5. Tighten the feed wheel set screw.
