5. Simultaneous operation of the presser foot lifting and open/close of the hemming binder

following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

Presser foot lifting and open/close of the hemming binder
can be simultaneously performed by attaching the compo-
nents supplied with the sewing machine as accessories.
1) Fix hemming binder connecting rod 2 to knee lifting
lever A 4 using hinge screw 1 . (Tightening torque: 4.5
to 5.5 N·m)
2) Fix hemming binder connecting rod 2 to presser lifting
link connection 5 using hinge screws 1 and nut 3 .
(Tightening torque should be 4.5 to 5.5 N·m. To secure
nut 3 on the underside, tighten it with a 8mm span-
ner.)
* When simultaneously performing presser foot lifting
and open/close of the hemming binder by knee opera-
tion, remove chain 6 for use.
When simultaneously performing presser foot lifting
and open/close of the hemming binder by pedal opera-
tion, remove knee pad plate (asm.) 7 for use.
* When the lifting amount of the upper feed roller is insuf-
fi cient, move hinge screw !0 to !1 . The lifting amount of
the upper feed roller increased with the same operating
amount.
* Lifting amount of the upper feed roller is max. 14 mm
and open/close amount of the hemming binder is max.
13 mm.
Adjust presser lifting stopper A 9 or 8 for use so that
both the lifting amount of the upper feed roller and
the open/close amount of the hemming binder do not
exceed the respective max. values.
